Ohtani Scratched From Start, Out of All-Star Game With Left Knee Issue
The Dodgers confirmed Ohtani will not pitch as scheduled and will undergo knee draining and an injection before the second half.

The Dodgers officially announced Ohtani will not take his scheduled start due to left knee irritation. He will continue as DH through the weekend but will then have the knee drained and likely receive an injection. As a result, he will skip next week's All-Star Game in Philadelphia. The knee has been a recurring issue — he had surgery on it in 2019 and was removed from a June 11 game this season with inflammation in the same joint.
