Pirates shortstop Konnor Griffin has been diagnosed with a torn tendon in the ring finger of his left hand and will be placed on the injured list. The team's director of sports medicine confirmed Griffin will wear a split for six weeks and is projected to miss eight to ten weeks total. This is Griffin's second notable injury of the season, following roughly a month lost to a right elbow strain. Prior to this setback, Griffin had been hitting .276/.332/.404 overall and .310/.365/.462 over his last 159 plate appearances.
