Pittsburgh has agreed to a minor league deal with outfielder Joshua Palacios, who will join Triple-A Indianapolis. Palacios previously spent the 2023-24 seasons in the Pirates organization, appearing in a career-high 91 MLB games in 2023. He carries a .223/.287/.349 slash line across 578 big league plate appearances but has posted strong numbers at Triple-A. Primarily a corner outfielder, he adds depth to a Pirates roster described as light on outfield options.
