The White Sox and Pirates have officially completed a trade sending infielder Jacob Gonzalez and reliever Brandon Eisert to Pittsburgh. In return, Chicago receives minor league left-hander Jaden Woods and the No. 34 Competitive Balance Round pick. Gonzalez had debuted this season but lost his roster spot when Munetaka Murakami returned. Eisert had posted a 5.93 ERA in 2026 out of Chicago's bullpen.
