Luis Robert Jr. nearing Mets return after strong rehab outing
The outfielder homered and went 2-for-5 in Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday, with interim manager Andy Green signaling a possible Monday activation.
Luis Robert Jr. hit a two-run home run and finished 2-for-5 with two RBI in his rehab game for Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday. It was his first Triple-A homer across five games and his second of the rehab assignment, which began June 30. Mets interim manager Andy Green said Robert has been looking better and better and could return when the team travels to Milwaukee for a Monday series opener against the Brewers. An official activation has not yet been announced.
