Padres Cut Pablo Reyes Loose After Strong Triple-A Season
San Diego released the 32-year-old utility infielder, likely after he triggered a July 1st opt-out clause in his minor league contract.
The Padres have released infielder Pablo Reyes, making him a free agent. Reyes signed a minor league deal with San Diego in the offseason and posted a strong .310/.408/.491 line with a 121 wRC+ in 56 Triple-A games. The release is believed to stem from a July 1st opt-out clause in his deal. Reyes, a seven-year MLB veteran, is now free to sign with any organization.
