Padres End 8-Game Skid With Win Over Dodgers
San Diego avoided a four-game sweep in LA, snapping their longest losing streak since 2013 behind Machado's 3-run homer and JP Sears' strong start.

The Padres defeated the Dodgers 5-2 on Sunday to end an eight-game losing streak, their longest since 2013. Manny Machado hit a three-run homer and JP Sears threw five scoreless innings of one-hit ball. It was only San Diego's second win in its last 13 games at Dodger Stadium. The Dodgers, who lost for just the second time in nine games, remain the MLB-leading team.
