Astros GM Search Closing In on Finalists Before World Series End
Houston could name a new general manager before the World Series concludes, with three assistant GMs from other clubs among the leading candidates.
The Astros have been conducting a GM search for two months and may finalize a hire before the World Series ends. White Sox AGM Josh Barfield, Cardinals AGM Randy Flores, and Brewers AGM Matt Kleine are the three named finalists. In-house candidate Connor Huff also remains a factor due to his close relationship with owner Jim Crane. Both Barfield and Flores are former MLB players who transitioned into front-office roles.
