Murakami Returns: White Sox Activate Slugger from IL
Chicago's power hitter is back after six weeks on the shelf, rejoining the lineup just before the All-Star break against Oakland.

Manager Will Venable confirmed Munetaka Murakami will be activated from the 10-day injured list in time for a home series against the Athletics. Murakami had been sidelined since late May with a Grade 2 right hamstring strain suffered while running out an infield hit. He had 20 home runs at the time of the injury, tied for second in the majors, and remains in the top 15 despite the extended absence. His return comes as the White Sox look to rebound after being swept by Boston, held to just two runs over three games.
