The Braves officially selected RHP Blake Burkhalter to the major league roster on September 1 as active rosters expanded from 26 to 28. The 25-year-old 2022 second-round pick was not on the 40-man roster prior to the move. Burkhalter missed the first two months of the season with a back injury but has been dominant since returning, posting a 1.26 ERA with a 32.2% strikeout rate and 14.8% swinging-strike rate in 35.2 innings. He joins Atlanta's bullpen, which already ranks fourth in MLB with a 3.39 ERA.
