Buxton Hip Surgery Recovery on Track for 2027 Return
The Twins outfielder is progressing well after September hip surgery and expects to be ready for next season after a rehab period through December.

Byron Buxton underwent arthroscopic right hip surgery on September 18 after battling hip pain since May 2026. He made three separate IL stints during the season, with the injury eventually diagnosed as a hip impingement. Buxton is currently rehabbing and expected to be cleared for normal offseason preparation in January. The Twins have no plans to trade him, and he has two years and $30MM remaining on his contract.
