The Royals officially announced the signing of Scott Barlow to a minor league contract. Barlow was released by the Athletics earlier in the week after signing a one-year, $2MM deal with them in the offseason. The veteran righty spent six seasons with Kansas City, peaking from 2021-22 with a 2.30 ERA, 40 saves, and 20 holds across 140.2 innings. He has since pitched for San Diego, Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Oakland before returning to the organization where he debuted in 2018.
