The Rangers acquired catcher Logan O'Hoppe and right-hander Chase Silseth from the Angels in exchange for Low-A infielder Angel Arredondo, first reported by Jeff Passan. O'Hoppe was immediately optioned to Triple-A upon arrival, limiting his near-term impact on the MLB roster. The Rangers have one of the worst-performing catching units in baseball, ranking 27th in catcher WAR at 0.2. Texas has recently moved into the AL West lead despite a struggling division.
