Ferguson posted an 8.64 ERA in 8 1/3 innings after being acquired from Cincinnati at the trade deadline. Brycen Mautz was called up from Triple-A Memphis to fill Ferguson's roster spot. Ferguson has enough MLB service time to decline a minor league assignment, making him a free agent.
