Cardinals Add LHP Josh Fleming on Minor League Deal
St. Louis adds the 30-year-old sinker-baller as Triple-A rotation depth after his release from the Cubs' minor league system.

The Cardinals have agreed to terms with left-hander Josh Fleming on a minor league contract, per beat reporter Derrick Goold. Fleming was released by the Cubs this week after posting a 3.44 ERA in 18 1/3 innings in their system. He briefly reached the majors with Toronto in April, allowing four runs in three innings before being DFA'd. Fleming carries a 4.86 ERA in 257 2/3 career MLB innings and will slot into Triple-A Memphis as rotation depth.
