The St. Louis Cardinals are promoting outfielder Joshua Baez for his major league debut, with manager Oli Marmol announcing the move. Baez, 23, is ranked as a Top 100 prospect by Baseball America, MLB Pipeline, and ESPN. In Triple-A this season he slashed .256/.328/.573 with a 121 wRC+, leading the International League with 34 home runs and 90 RBI. The Cardinals are evaluating players for 2027 as they give Baez his first taste of the majors.
