Correa Targeting September Return After Ankle Surgery
Houston's manager confirmed the three-time All-Star is on track to rejoin the roster in September, well ahead of the original recovery schedule.
Carlos Correa had surgery to repair a left ankle tendon tear in May, with Houston initially projecting a 6-to-8 month rehab. He has since progressed to running, defensive drills, and batting practice. Manager Joe Espada told reporters he expects Correa to be ready at some point in September. Correa still needs to complete a minor league rehab assignment before returning to the active roster.
