The Cubs have officially acquired right-hander Kevin Gausman from the Blue Jays, with both teams confirming the deal. Toronto receives minor league outfielder Brett Bateman and infielder Ty Southisene. Gausman, 35, carries a 4.38 ERA over 127.1 innings this season and is a free agent after the year. The move slots him into a Cubs rotation already supplemented by recent additions David Peterson and Aaron Civale.
