The Chicago Cubs have completed a trade to acquire right-handed starter Kevin Gausman from the Toronto Blue Jays. In return, Toronto receives infielder Ty Southisene and outfielder Brett Bateman, ranked as the Cubs' 13th and 21st best prospects respectively. The deal addresses Chicago's stated need for rotation depth. The trade was reported by USA Today's Bob Nightengale.
