The Chicago Cubs signed left-handed pitcher Josh Fleming and assigned him to their Triple-A affiliate in Iowa. Fleming made his Cubs organizational debut, allowing two runs on four hits over four innings with two walks and two strikeouts. Simultaneously, Iowa right-hander Andrew Wantz was moved to the development list, opening a roster spot. Both moves are official organizational transactions.
