Edwin Díaz has been sidelined for the past month with neck inflammation and sent to Triple-A Oklahoma City on a rehab assignment. His four appearances there have been poor, highlighted by a Sunday outing in which he retired just two of eight batters and was charged with five runs. Manager Dave Roberts acknowledged Díaz is no longer a lock for the playoff roster, saying the team needs to see evidence of better performance. Díaz is scheduled to pitch again Wednesday before the Triple-A regular season ends Sunday.
