The Dodgers have outrighted catcher Ben Rortvedt to Triple-A Oklahoma City following a designation for assignment on Tuesday. Rortvedt has the right to reject the assignment and pursue free agency, but doing so would cost him the remainder of his $1.25MM salary and postseason eligibility. The 28-year-old had a notable run with the Dodgers in 2025, serving as the primary catcher in September after Will Smith's hand injury and catching four playoff games. His offensive struggles in 2025 ultimately led to his removal from the roster.
