Toronto designated Estrada for assignment over the weekend to open a 40-man roster spot for Daz Cameron. No team claimed the 27-year-old right-hander on waivers, so the Blue Jays outrighted him to Triple-A Buffalo. Estrada posted a near-7.00 ERA in 20.1 MLB innings and missed two months early this season with a shoulder impingement. Because this is his first outright and he has fewer than three years of service time, he must accept the assignment; he will be a minor league free agent after the season if not re-added to the 40-man roster.
