Gavin Williams will start Game 5 of the ALDS after making a relief appearance in Game 4, throwing 18 pitches to secure the win. Manager Stephen Vogt confirmed the decision Friday, saying Williams sought out the assignment himself. Williams went 14-8 with a 3.76 ERA and led the AL with 248 strikeouts in the regular season. He previously started Game 2, striking out 11 over five-plus innings in a 4-3 loss.
