Tanner Houck underwent hybrid right-UCL reconstruction and flexor tendon repair in August 2025, a more complex procedure than standard Tommy John surgery. He has not pitched in a major league game since July 9, 2025. The Red Sox plan two more rehab outings before a potential activation window around the Cubs series to close the regular season. If the timeline holds, Houck could make one or two appearances before the postseason.
