The outfielder joins SWB after a revolving door of DFAs and re-signings with the White Sox and Rangers in 2026.
Jarred Kelenic signed with the Yankees' Triple-A affiliate in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after clearing waivers and declining an outright assignment from the Rangers. It was his third DFA of the 2026 season, having previously cycled through the White Sox and Rangers on minor league deals. Kelenic has slashed .219/.313/.288 in 83 plate appearances this year. A crowded Yankees outfield featuring Bellinger, Grisham, Jones, Ramos, and a returning Aaron Judge makes a roster spot unlikely without an injury opening.
