Atlanta Braves pitcher Reynaldo López has begun a rehab assignment with Triple-A Gwinnett. He was placed on the 15-day IL on August 2, backdated to July 30, due to inflammation in his left knee. López has appeared in 24 games this season, posting 66 strikeouts in 71.2 innings. The Braves expect him to be available as a rotation or bullpen option following the September 1 roster expansion to 28 players.
