Kade Anderson, the Mariners' 2024 third overall pick out of LSU, made his major league debut Saturday against the Cubs. He had posted a 1.06 ERA and 40.5% strikeout rate over 93.1 innings in Double-A before the call-up. Anderson pitched five solid innings before being left in to face the top of the order a third time in the sixth, where he was hit hard. He ranked as high as third overall on FanGraphs' Top 100 Prospects list prior to his debut.
