Mariners Seek Interview With Astros' Espada for Manager Role
Seattle has received permission to meet with Houston's Joe Espada, whose contract expires at month's end and whose future with the Astros is uncertain.
The Mariners are searching for a new manager after parting ways with Dan Wilson and have been granted permission to interview Astros skipper Joe Espada. Houston fired GM Dana Brown in August, and the club's postseason future under its current core is in question. Espada posted a 256-229 record across parts of three seasons managing the Astros.
