Multiple reporters, including MLB.com's Daniel Kramer, confirmed the Seattle Mariners plan to call up outfield prospect Lazaro Montes ahead of Tuesday's game against the Red Sox. Montes is already in transit to Boston but is not expected to be activated for Monday's series opener. The 21-year-old left-handed hitter has slashed .247/.365/.556 this season with 38 home runs across Double-A and Triple-A. His call-up coincides with the expansion of active rosters to 28 players for September.
