Marlowe Opts Out, Gets Released, Re-Signs With Angels on MiLB Deal
The 29-year-old outfielder cycled through an opt-out and release before returning to the Angels organization on a fresh minor league contract.

Cade Marlowe exercised the opt-out clause in his Angels minor league deal on Aug. 27, forcing the club to either add him to the 40-man roster or release him. The Angels chose to release him on Aug. 28, then re-signed him to a new minor league deal on Aug. 29. Marlowe has posted a .313/.389/.508 line with 11 home runs across 453 PCL plate appearances split between the A's and Angels affiliates this season. He has 42 games of MLB experience, all with Seattle in 2023-24.
