The 2025 MLB trade deadline falls on Monday, August 3 at 6 p.m. ET. Any trade must be submitted to the league office before that moment for the acquired player to be postseason eligible. The deadline is firm — no waiver-based August trades have been permitted since the rule change in 2019. Players dealt even seconds before the cutoff are fully eligible to appear in the World Series.
