Shohei Ohtani has not pitched since July 3 due to knee and biceps issues, and a planned Sunday start against the Tigers was cancelled after he reported discomfort following a 20-pitch bullpen session — 10-15 fewer pitches than his normal routine. Manager Dave Roberts said the team will not risk Ohtani's offensive contributions by pushing him to pitch through pain. The Dodgers will reassess when the team returns to Los Angeles next week, but Ohtani is also confirmed out for Tuesday's game against the Cardinals. It is now possible Ohtani will not pitch again in the regular season.
