Rockies Outright Vimael Machín After DFA Clears Waivers
The 32-year-old utility infielder was outrighted to the ACL and has the right to reject the assignment and become a free agent.

Colorado outrighted Vimael Machín to the Arizona Complex League after no team claimed him off waivers following his DFA. Machín had been added to the roster on Sept. 5 when Willi Castro hit the IL, but was optioned when Braxton Fulford was recalled and later DFA'd when Jose Quintana was reinstated. In five MLB seasons he has posted a .209/.289/.269 line over 379 plate appearances. Having been outrighted previously, he holds the right to elect free agency rather than accept the assignment.
