Rutschman Trade Finalized: Rivas Named as PTBNL to Baltimore
The Orioles and Red Sox have officially completed last week's Adley Rutschman deal, with 18-year-old outfielder Harold Rivas confirmed as the player to be named later.
Baltimore has officially received minor league outfielder Harold Rivas from Boston as the PTBNL in the Adley Rutschman trade. The completed deal sends Rutschman and Jake Rogers to the Red Sox in exchange for Rivas, right-handers Anthony Eyanson and Kyson Witherspoon, outfielder Enddy Azocar, and catcher Carlos Narváez. Rivas, 18, is a Venezuelan-born prospect who signed for $950K in January 2025 and is currently in Rookie-level ball. His inclusion was contingent on Rutschman returning healthy from a wrist injury; Rutschman made his Red Sox debut Tuesday.
