Sale Skips NLDS Game 2 Due to Less-Than-Full Strength
Atlanta held Sale back from Game 2, citing concerns about his health after a recent relief appearance, with manager Weiss confirming he'll start Game 3.
Braves manager Walt Weiss opted not to start Chris Sale in NLDS Game 2, citing a desire to have him at full strength rather than risk an 80% version. Sale had been used in relief to close out the Wild Card Series, leaving him short on rest. Weiss confirmed Sale is slated to start Game 3.
