Spencer Schwellenbach will undergo surgery on the elbow fracture that first sidelined him in July 2025. He entered 2026 on the 60-day IL with elbow inflammation and had a loose-body removal procedure earlier this season, but the fracture has persisted or been re-aggravated. He never advanced to a rehab assignment this summer. The surgery is definitively season-ending, and the Braves do not yet have a clear timeline for his return in 2027.
