The A's reliever went under the knife on his left knee but is projected to be healthy in time for next season's camp.

Athletics right-hander Seth Johnson has had left knee surgery, per MLB.com's Martín Gallegos. Doctors expect him to be fully recovered before spring training begins next year. Johnson, 28, was acquired from Philadelphia at the August trade deadline in exchange for outfielder Colby Thomas. He has thrown 48.2 big league innings with a 6.84 ERA but owns a strong 24.7% strikeout rate and has been more effective at Triple-A.
