He is scheduled to meet with Dr. Keith Meister for an additional opinion. Taillon has a history of serious elbow problems, having undergone Tommy John surgery twice (2014 and 2019). He acknowledged briefly wondering if his last outing — cut short after two innings — might have been his final big-league appearance.
