The Tigers have officially signed right-handed reliever Tyler Kinley to a major league contract. Kinley was released by Atlanta last week after posting a 4.01 ERA but a concerning 5.41 FIP across 42.2 innings in 2026. Atlanta remains responsible for most of his remaining salary, limiting Detroit's financial exposure. The Tigers are betting on a rebound from a pitcher who looked dominant as recently as last season.
