Reds manager Terry Francona confirmed Michael Toglia will have season-ending right shoulder surgery. Toglia was injured making a diving catch in Friday's game in Arizona, suffering both a dislocation and a labrum tear. He was placed on the injured list the following day. The Reds may transfer him to the 60-day IL to free a 40-man roster spot.
