Minnesota will need to clear room on both the 26-man active roster and the 40-man roster before the promotion can be completed — meaning the move, as of this writing, remains a report rather than a club announcement.

Under general league roster mechanics, a player must appear on the 40-man roster to be eligible for a major-league call-up, and a corresponding move on the active side is required as well. The Twins have not yet announced which player or players will be displaced to make room.
