The New York Yankees are promoting infielder George Lombard Jr. to the major league roster, as reported by YES Network's Jack Curry. The 21-year-old was the Yankees' top pick in the 2023 MLB Draft and has posted a .284/.411/.498 slash line with a 157 wRC+ across 78 minor league games in 2026. Since June 1, he has hit .352/.470/.648 with a 183 wRC+ in 30 games at Triple-A.
