The Royals have officially acquired right-hander Nate Pearson from the Astros in exchange for minor league pitcher Max Martin. Houston had DFA'd Pearson over the weekend, making him available. Pearson, 29, was once a consensus top-10 overall prospect but injuries derailed his career and pushed him to the bullpen. Kansas City is his fourth MLB organization.
