Royals Add Lefty Aaron Bummer on Minor League Deal
Kansas City signs the veteran reliever to a MiLB contract after he was released by Atlanta following a rough 2026 stint.
The Royals have signed lefty reliever Aaron Bummer to a minor league contract and assigned him to Triple-A Omaha. Bummer was released by the Braves earlier this year after posting a 7.36 ERA in 19 appearances. The 406-game MLB veteran had rebounded well in Atlanta over 2024-25, posting a 3.69 ERA across 98 games. He could be a depth option for Kansas City's bullpen if he regains form at the Triple-A level.
