The 2026 MLB Draft began with the Chicago White Sox selecting UCLA shortstop Roch Cholowsky first overall. Milwaukee used the 25th pick on Trey Ebel, a high school shortstop from Corona, California. Ebel is the younger brother of Brady Ebel, whom the Brewers drafted 32nd overall in 2025. Milwaukee still has picks remaining across Days 1 and 2 of the draft.
