The Yankees officially recalled right-hander Yovanny Cruz from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on June 30 ahead of Tuesday's matchup with the Tigers. The move came after the bullpen was heavily used in Monday's loss, covering 7.1 innings. To make room, Yerry De los Santos was optioned back to Triple-A following his two-inning appearance in that game. New York has lost five straight and eight of their last ten games.
