Sam Huff Elects Free Agency After Second Orioles DFA
The 28-year-old catcher rejected an outright assignment and is now a free agent, leaving Baltimore's catching depth chart unaffected.

The Orioles officially announced that catcher Sam Huff went unclaimed on waivers after his second DFA of the season and has chosen free agency over an outright minor league assignment. Huff, 28, originally joined Baltimore on a minor league deal in January and appeared in just nine major league games across two stints. Baltimore's catching depth remains intact with Adley Rutschman, Samuel Basallo, and Chadwick Tromp all healthy and on the active roster. Huff could potentially re-sign on another minor league deal as he did after his first DFA.
