Orioles manager Craig Albernaz confirmed Ryan Helsley has inflammation around his UCL, but the ligament itself is not torn. Helsley is expected to avoid surgery, per Albernaz's comments to reporters including MASN's Roch Kubatko. This is Helsley's second IL stint of the season — he first went down with elbow inflammation in early May, returned in mid-June, then landed back on the IL in early July. Baltimore signed Helsley to a two-year, $28MM deal this past offseason.
