Houston optioned outfielder Jake Meyers to Triple-A Sugar Land as part of four roster moves announced today. It is the first time since 2022 that Meyers has been in the minors for a non-rehab stint. Meyers is hitting with a .240 BABIP this season after posting a .353 BABIP in 2025, suggesting a difficult offensive year may be driving the decision. He has fewer than five years of MLB service time and cannot refuse the assignment.
